Living Jungle is a rainforest protection initiative which seeks to purchase rainforest, but with the added twists as follows:
1. Linked to existing eco-tourism or sustainable economic projects run by local people in the rainforest.
2. Encouragement of supporters to get more involved than simply by giving.
3. Opportunity for supporters to visit and participate in activities whilst there.
We are developing a really imaginative project, where individuals and families are able to purchase acres of rainforest, not just to protect it, but also to help create sustainable economic activity for the local people and personally to get involved through such things as going on expeditions, volunteering in animal rescue centres, helping replant the rainforest, supporting local communities, developing permaculture projects and so many other ways.
